All presented content is the sole intellectual property of Melanie Tapson Voice Care and/or the respective presenters. Your purchase of a ticket and/or your registration represents your agreement to these terms.
EVENT WAIVER
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
PHOTO RELEASE CONSENT
Event: The Power of Voice (“Event”) and all other activities held at, during, or in conjunction with the Event.
In consideration of my being permitted to participate in the Event referenced above, wherever the Event may occur, I hereby attest that, after reading this Form completely and carefully, I acknowledge that my participation in the Activity is entirely voluntary, and I further understand and agree as follows:
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF PRESENTERS:
(TL/DR: please don't steal our stuff and pass it off as yours, but do share your joy with your social audiences!)
I hereby acknowledge that all presented material at The Power of Voice, a virtual event, is the sole intellectual property of the presenter. I hereby agree that I will not record, screenshot, copy or otherwise retain any presentation materials including, but not limited to, video of the presentation, presented slides, or livestream Q&A without express one-time permission (for example, only when the Host invites participants to capture specific images for the purposes of sharing on social media). I understand that if I am found to do so, I will be in violation of the presenter’s intellectual property rights and will be prosecuted as permitted by law. Any attendee found to have violated this portion of the agreement will also be banned from participation in all future events produced by The Power of Voice and Melanie Tapson Voice Care.
ASSUMPTION OF RISKS:
(TL/DR: you're a grown up, know your limits and please don't hurt yourself!)
I hereby assume all of the risks of participating in all activities at Event, including but not limited to, any risks that may arise from the negligence or carelessness of the sponsor of the Event, their subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, partners, contractors, agents, representatives, volunteers, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Host”). I accept personal responsibility for any injury of any kind or nature that I or my property may suffer arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Event.
PHYSICAL CONDITION/MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION:
(TL/DR: we can't give you direct medical advice or voice therapy - but do follow up, we're happy to help formally after the event!)
I hereby certify that I am physically fit for participation in the Event, have the skill level required in conjunction with the Event, and have not been advised otherwise. I acknowledge that information presented is not to be considered individual medical advice, rather general advice for the purposes of broad education.
PHOTO RELEASE:
(TL/DR: we're recording so you can watch it again later, and snapping pics to show everyone who didn't come what they missed!)
By my participation and attendance, I voluntarily and knowingly agree and do give my express consent to authorise the Host to capture still photographs, video and audio recordings to be used for educational and advertising purposes including but not limited to providing advertised on-demand learning following the event and testimonial stories.
This Release Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTOOD THIS DOCUMENT AND I AGREE WITH THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY CONTRACT OF MY OWN FREE WILL. IF THE PARTICIPANT IS A MINOR, THE PARENT/GUARDIAN DOES HEREBY REPRESENT THAT HE/SHE/THEY IS/ARE ACTING IN SUCH CAPACITY, HAS CONSENTED TO HIS/HER/THEIR CHILD’S PARTICIPATION AND ACTIONS AT THE EVENT, AND HAS AGREED INDIVIDUALLY AND ON BEHALF OF THE CHILD TO THE TERMS OF THE RELEASE FORM SET FORTH ABOVE.
